Estranged after a joint family camping incident, childhood theater friends Makoto and Kasumi reunite six years later in high school drama club. Harboring unspoken feelings, they share the stage again. "We will tell our story." On stage, they act out what they couldn't say. Time finally moves forward for the girls and their divided families.

A Waseda MA grad, Matsumura's debut feature, Striking Out in Love (2012), played at Busan IFF. Love And Goodbye And Hawaii (2017) won Best Script and Best Cinematography at Shanghai IFF. In 2023, he directed The Lump In My Heart starring Yoshida Mizuki and Tokiwa Takako.
