Oscar's life—choosing her own path beyond class and gender—inspired generations and became a social phenomenon. In 2025, it was adapted into a brand-new theatrical animated film by MAPPA.
After leaving SUNRISE, Yoshimura has worked as a freelance anime director. Her major directing credits include "My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected", "Ao Haru Ride", "Dance with Devils", and "Kabukichou Sherlock".
