The film won both the Taiwan Film Critics Society Award and SDS-SHOW Award in 2025 Women Make Waves IFF. After years away from home, Nien-hua returns and begins filming her mother and their everyday family life. Her mother recalls raising two daughters alone after separating from their father, while Nien-hua confronts painful memories of abandonment and physical punishment. She encounters her estranged father to uncover the truth about her parents’ separation. By revisiting the past, Nien-hua seeks to move forward, revealing the complex bonds of family, memory, and reconciliation.
