Through the eyes of a twelve-year-old boy, we come face to face with the lives of a few people in Bolivia's oldest mining district, where a life lost weighs as much as the silver brought out of the mountain. The film confronts the limits of human endurance and the indelible traces that the bloodshed of history has left here: a stark cinematic statement about the cornerstone on which modern wealth was built.
