Teoswa International Film Art Festival 2022

A local film festival founded in Shantou in 2015 by the non-profit KwanTeo (观潮). Held every Lunar New Year since 2016, usually on the fourth and fifth days, and called Springtime KwanTeo (新春观潮) since 2024, it shows the year's short films by Chaoshan and Teochew-diaspora filmmakers alongside creators’ salons, field trips and concerts. Since 2023 the organisers have also run Midsummer KwanTeo and the KwanTeo CineLab workshops and screenings in summer.
