我们早已熟悉复仇故事的套路。但曾在《Get the Hell Out》中用僵尸和职业摔角把台湾立法院搅得天翻地覆的 Wang I-Fan，把殖民时期的台湾、武术与女性主导的动作戏结合起来，让熟悉的公式变得更加锋利。日治时期的台湾，警察接连遇害。嫌疑人是花脸猫，一名身手如猫般敏捷、手持一对镰刀的女刺客。案件交由日本警官 Shimizu 负责，他花了一年时间逐步逼近真相，两人的命运也随之纠缠扭转。台湾新生代演员 Han Ning 为演好花脸猫高难度的动作戏训练了近一年，而《明天，我要和昨天的你约会》的主演福士苍汰则饰演决心阻止她疯狂杀戮的 Shimizu。当真相终于大白，花脸猫的旅程坠入一条血染的修罗道，她锋利的爪子将在“Midnight Passion”单元撕裂银幕。
Wang I-Fan is a Taiwanese filmmaker. His feature debut, Get the Hell Out (2020), which he wrote and directed, screened in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival and the Sitges Film Festival, and won the Golden Horse Award for Best Action Choreography. For his second feature, The Scar-Faced Cat: Way of Asura, he served as director, writer, cinematographer, editor, and action choreographer.
