Double Freedom / La libertad doble

导演 Lisandro Alonso

★平均星级

Misael lives alone in the forest. Adrift from society, he is a self-sufficient woodcutter. He suddenly faces the responsibility of taking in his sister; the mental institution where she lives will close. Misael's free life in nature collapses dramatically as he adjusts to life with his sister... Lisandro Alonso consistently portrays people living in isolation by stripping narrative down to bare essentials. Double Freedom is a pure embodiment of his minimalist style, and can be regarded as a sequel, set some time later, to Alonso's feature debut, La Libertad, which was screened at the 2001 Cannes Un Certain Regard.
