Yang holds an MA in Film Studies from King’s College London. He previously served as Managing Editor of Funscreen Weekly and has contributed essays to various publications. He is currently a film programmer at the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute, where he has curated retrospectives on Tanaka Kinuyo, Robert Altman, and Lynne Ramsay, as well as special programs on South Korea’s modern history and the masters of the Japanese New Wave.
