Fernando Eimbcke
Born in Mexico City in 1970 and educated at UNAM, Fernando Eimbcke made his feature debut with Duck Season, which premiered at Cannes in 2004. Lake Tahoe premiered at Berlinale 2008, winning the FIPRESCI Prize and the Silver Bear Jury Prize. Club Sandwich premiered at TIFF and won San Sebastián's Golden Shell. Olmo premiered at Berlinale. Flies is his fifth feature.
