Vee Shi's father is in poor health following a stroke. In truth, Vee Shi has always been distant from his family. He heads to his remote hometown in Fuqing to make a fiction film. But as he turns his camera on his family, reality and fiction start to blur as generational pain and regret are exposed.
Born in Fuqing, China, in 1989 and currently based in Australia, Shi's work has won Screen Producers Australia, Australian Directors' Guild, and Australian Writers' Guild awards.
