She wants to accept, but confesses that she’s hiding a dark past — she once escaped a scam compound where she was forced to run romance scams. Ivan Tan is a Singaporean filmmaker. His debut short, Tadpoles (2013), made history as the first Singaporean film to win a Jury Prize at the Locarno Film Festival, after which he studied film directing at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the UK. Following the selection of his project for the Southeast Asian Film Lab at the 2022 Singapore International Film Festival, he is currently developing his debut feature film.
